"My health issues prove I didn't have enough faith or I sinned"
How it sounds in your head: If you had really believed, you wouldn't be dealing with these diagnoses. Other people get healed, so there must be something wrong with your faith or hidden sin blocking your healing. Maybe God is teaching you something through this.
"who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you WERE healed"
-- 1 Peter 2:24Source: Religion's lie that sickness is punishment or faith-testing rather than an enemy Jesus came to destroy
Doctors keep adding diagnoses and you've prayed for years. People at church got healed and you haven't, so the difference must be your faith or your sin. The pain is real and it feels like evidence that God is withholding healing for a reason.
Disciples asked 'who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?' Jesus said 'NEITHER' - the sickness wasn't punishment or faith-failure. Then He healed him instantly with mud and spit - demonstrating sickness isn't from God and healing isn't earned. The man did nothing to deserve healing - Jesus just healed him.
I REFUSE the lie that sickness proves my faith failed or God is punishing me. IT IS WRITTEN: By His stripes I WAS healed - past tense, already purchased, fully paid. IT IS WRITTEN: Christ redeemed me from the curse, and sickness IS the curse. My diagnosis doesn't change what Jesus finished on the cross. The man born blind wasn't sick because of sin - Jesus healed him to display God's works. My body may show symptoms but my spirit knows TRUTH - I am healed by His wounds, and I enforce that finished work over every cell in Jesus' name.
The Father isn't withholding healing until you pray better or confess better - He already provided it through Jesus' stripes 2,000 years ago. He's not waiting for your faith to qualify - He's waiting for you to RECEIVE what's already yours, like a Father holding out medicine while you search for ways to earn it.
