Knowing his grandfather's horrific sins combined with occasional intrusive thoughts (which are common to all humans) creates paralyzing fear that he's inherited evil tendencies rather than Christ's nature.

The Father doesn't see your grandfather when He looks at you—He sees His own SON. He trusts you COMPLETELY because you have HIS nature, and He's running toward you with full confidence in who He made you.
