"My financial struggles are God's way of teaching me dependence on Him."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe this lack is His will to keep you humble. He's teaching you to trust Him, not money. Suffering produces character. Paul learned to be content in all circumstances—maybe this is your thorn in the flesh.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
-- John 10:10Religious teaching that God authors suffering for sanctification; twisting Paul's contentment into celebrating lack.
Respected teachers quote 'my grace is sufficient' and 'content in all circumstances' to validate struggle as God's tool. The lack has persisted despite prayer, which feels like God's intentional withholding for growth.
Even in the WILDERNESS as discipline, God fed them DAILY with manna and their clothes didn't wear out for 40 YEARS. Even in correction, He SUPPLIED—He didn't use poverty to teach dependence; He used MIRACULOUS PROVISION.
I REFUSE the lie that my lack is God's teaching tool. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give ABUNDANT life, and the THIEF comes to steal. Poverty is the thief's work, not the Father's curriculum. Every good and perfect gift is from above, and financial struggle isn't good or perfect. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28 that poverty is under the CURSE, and Christ redeemed me from that curse. The BARAK blessing flows to me as Abraham's seed—provision is covenant, not conditional. The Father doesn't withhold to teach me; He SUPPLIES to demonstrate His nature. Even Israel in wilderness wandering got daily manna and clothes that didn't wear out. I receive the abundance Jesus died to give me. I am blessed and not cursed, provided for and not lacking, above only and not beneath.
The Father didn't teach the prodigal dependence by keeping him in the pig pen—He taught him LOVE by running with the robe. He doesn't use poverty as a classroom; He uses PROVISION as a revelation of His heart.
