"My fear and anxiety attacks are demonic and prove I don't have enough faith to resist."
How it sounds in your head: Real Christians with real faith don't have panic attacks. Your racing heart, sleepless nights, and overwhelming dread must mean demons are attacking because your faith is weak. At your age, after all these years of believing, you should be stronger than this.
"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
-- Philippians 4:7Source: Religion made anxiety evidence of weak faith instead of recognizing it as a chemical/neurological experience that doesn't negate your position in Christ.
The physical intensity of panic feels like a spiritual attack, and the persistence despite prayer makes you question your faith. If you had enough faith, wouldn't peace be automatic?
Elijah just called down fire from heaven, slaughtered 450 prophets, and outran a chariot. Then ONE threat from Jezebel sent him into suicidal depression. God didn't rebuke his weak faith—He gave him SLEEP and FOOD. God treated it as physical/mental exhaustion, not demonic attack or faith failure.
I REFUSE the lie that anxiety proves weak faith or demonic control. IT IS WRITTEN: The peace of God GUARDS my heart and mind. Peace is not my achievement—it's God's GIFT. IT IS WRITTEN: Perfect love casts out fear, and I am PERFECTLY LOVED. My anxiety does not disqualify me. My panic does not prove demon possession. I am HELD by God even when my body feels out of control. I am under the BARAK—protected even in my weakest moments, like Elijah who wanted to die yet was fed by angels.
The Father is not condemning your panic attacks—He's holding you through them, reminding you that your worth is not measured by your calm. He's whispering: 'Daughter, your anxiety doesn't scare Me. I've got you. Breathe. I'm here.'
