"My family has always been poor, so I'll always be poor too."
How it sounds in your head: Every woman in my family has struggled financially. My mom worked three jobs. My grandma never owned a home. I look at my bank account and see the same patterns repeating. It's like poverty is coded into my DNA.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
-- Galatians 3:13-14Enemy assignment to keep bloodlines in lack so generations never walk in Kingdom authority.
She has literal evidence—tax returns, rental histories, family stories of struggle. Every holiday involves stress about money, every family gathering includes complaints about bills.
Ruth came from Moab—a cursed nation, forbidden to enter God's assembly for ten generations (Deuteronomy 23:3). She was a broke, foreign widow with absolutely nothing. One harvest season later, she owned land and married the wealthiest man in town—and became the great-grandmother of King David, in the Messianic line.
I REFUSE the lie that my family's poverty determines my future. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ redeemed me from the curse and gave me the blessing of Abraham—the BARAK that made him wealthy even when he sinned. I am NOT under my family's financial history—I am under the BLOOD of Jesus. My last name doesn't determine my net worth—my position IN CHRIST does. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, blessed in the city and the field, the head and not the tail. The wealth transfer has already begun because I'm Abraham's seed by covenant, not by performance. My children will tell different stories than my parents told.
The Father isn't waiting for you to break generational patterns through discipline—He BROKE them at the cross. He's running toward you with the family ring, saying, 'You're not that bloodline anymore—you're MINE.'
