"My family has always been poor so financial struggle is just my lot in life."
How it sounds in your head: No one in my family has ever had money. We're working class, paycheck to paycheck people. My grandparents struggled, my parents struggle, I struggle. Wealth is for other families, not mine. Even when I try to get ahead, something always knocks me back down. It feels like we're cursed financially.
"And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
-- Galatians 3:29Source: generational poverty spirit + religious poverty theology. The enemy uses your family's financial history to convince you that lack is your lineage, while religious teaching about 'blessed are the poor' makes poverty sound spiritual.
She's never seen anyone in her family succeed financially, so breakthrough feels statistically impossible. Every aunts and uncles, cousins—everyone struggles. The pattern is so consistent it feels like destiny, and church teaching about 'the love of money' makes her feel guilty for even wanting more.
They were slaves for 400 YEARS—no generational wealth, no financial literacy, no business connections, literally OWNED NOTHING. In ONE NIGHT, God had the Egyptians GIVE them gold, silver, and clothing—they plundered Egypt and left WEALTHY. No 'debt-free journey,' no '7-year plan,' just INSTANT wealth transfer because God said so.
I REFUSE the lie that my family's poverty is my destiny. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:29 that if I am Christ's, I am ABRAHAM'S SEED and an heir according to the PROMISE. I am not in my earthly family's financial lineage anymore; I am in ABRAHAM'S lineage, and the BARAK blessing that made him, Isaac, and Jacob outrageously wealthy is MY inheritance. My family's financial history ENDED at the cross. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:13-14 that Christ redeemed me from the curse SO THAT the blessing of Abraham might come upon me—which means the same covenant that protected and prospered LIARS and DECEIVERS now covers ME. I declare that my children will not inherit poverty; they will inherit the BARAK, and their generation will be marked by wealth, generosity, and divine favor.
The Father isn't waiting for you to take budgeting classes and prove you can 'handle' wealth before He blesses you. He's RUNNING toward you with the RING of authority and the ROBE of sonship, not based on your family's financial GPA, but based on His covenant with Abraham—and that covenant protected and prospered Abraham even when he LIED, which means your family's past doesn't disqualify you from the BARAK.
