"My family doesn't talk about feelings—I'll always struggle to express myself."
How it sounds in your head: When I cry, Dad says 'toughen up.' Mom changes the subject when I try to talk about hard stuff. I'm learning to just keep everything inside like they do. I'll probably never know how to be close to people.

I REFUSE the lie that my family's emotional walls are mine. IT IS WRITTEN that God gave me a NEW HEART and removed the heart of stone. I don't carry my father's stoicism or my mother's avoidance—I carry my Father's ability to feel deeply and love freely. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus wept, felt compassion, expressed anger, celebrated with joy. He is my model, not my family system. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead lives IN ME, bringing emotional freedom and authentic connection. I am FREE to feel.
Your Father didn't wait for your family to learn emotional health before teaching you tenderness. He's the Father who met Peter in his shame-filled weeping and turned that raw emotion into passionate apostleship—He's not afraid of your feelings; He celebrates them.
