"My faith was built on emotion and childhood indoctrination—now that I'm thinking clearly, it's crumbling."
How it sounds in your head: All those experiences at youth camp were just emotional manipulation. You believed because you were taught to, not because it's true. Now that you're thinking for yourself, the foundation is sand. What felt like God was just brain chemistry and social conditioning.
"But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
-- 1 Corinthians 2:14Source: Spirit of intellectualism and pride that dismisses genuine spiritual experience as psychological phenomena, denying the supernatural.
You've learned how emotions can be manipulated. You've seen how upbringing shapes beliefs. You recognize psychological patterns in your religious experiences. The distance from your childhood faith feels like waking from delusion.
Paul was the most intellectually accomplished Pharisee, educated under the top scholars, zealous and certain in his theology. A LIGHT and a VOICE knocked him off his horse, blinded him, and transformed him instantly—not through argument but through encounter that transcended his impressive education and theological training.
I REFUSE the lie that my faith was mere conditioning. IT IS WRITTEN that spiritual things are SPIRITUALLY discerned—my intellect alone cannot comprehend the supernatural, and that's by design. The same God who gave Paul a Damascus Road encounter gave me genuine experiences of His presence. IT IS WRITTEN that whoever comes to Him He will NEVER cast out. I am Abraham's seed, blessed by COVENANT not comprehension, protected by the BARAK that functioned regardless of understanding. My earlier experiences weren't invalid because they were emotional; they were supernatural invading natural. I stand justified while I process, righteous while I reexamine.
The Father isn't invalidating your childhood encounters because you're now analyzing them—He's inviting you to ADULT faith built on the same supernatural foundation. What felt like Him WAS Him, and He's about to reveal Himself in ways your maturity can now handle but your childhood couldn't contain.
