"My failure ruined my family's future and financial security."
How it sounds in your head: My parents co-signed. My girlfriend's dad invested. I promised my little brother I'd help pay for his college. Now they're all screwed because I couldn't make it work. I destroyed everyone who believed in me.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
-- Philippians 4:19Enemy assigning false responsibility for others' provision, making him god instead of God being God.
The co-signed loans are real. The investor who lost money is real. The promises he made were real and public. The guilt is crushing because people he loves are actually affected.
Simeon and Levi murdered an entire city, putting their whole family at risk of retaliation from surrounding nations. Jacob was terrified they'd all be destroyed because of his sons' violence. God's response? 'The terror of God was upon the cities around them, and they did not pursue'—the family was PROTECTED despite the sons' disaster.
I REFUSE the lie that my failure ruined my family's future. IT IS WRITTEN: God supplies ALL their need according to HIS riches in glory—I am not their source, He is. The BARAK protected Jacob's family even after his sons MURDERED A CITY. My business closing doesn't override covenant protection over my family. Their provision is in GOD'S hands, not mine. IT IS WRITTEN: He commands blessing on the families of Abraham's seed—they are covered. I release the false burden of being their god. The Father who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows doesn't need my success to care for people I love.
The Father isn't panicking about your family's provision because it was never in your hands to begin with—He's the one who protected murderers' families and fed golden-calf worshipers. He's covering them with the same covenant that covers you, and He's whispering to you that you can lay down the crushing weight of being everyone's savior because He already is.
