"My exhaustion is a sign that I'm doing life wrong and need to completely rebuild everything."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe you're in the wrong career. Wrong city. Wrong relationship. Wrong church. Your exhaustion feels like a giant red flag that you've built your life on the wrong foundation and now you need to tear it all down and start over.
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
-- Matthew 11:28Religious lie that God's will always feels 'right' and peaceful, and fatigue means you're out of His will.
You're tired ALL THE TIME. That can't be normal. That can't be God's plan. Clearly, something fundamental is wrong with the life you've built, and the exhaustion is proof.
The disciples were in a boat, in a storm, about to drown—and Jesus was ASLEEP. They woke Him in terror, convinced they were perishing. He stood, spoke one sentence—'Peace, be still'—and the wind stopped INSTANTLY. Complete calm in one command.
I REFUSE the lie that my exhaustion proves I'm doing life wrong. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus invites all who labor and are heavy laden to COME, and He will give rest. My rest is not found in perfect circumstances or right decisions—it's found in HIM. IT IS WRITTEN in Hebrews 4:9-10 that there remains a rest for the people of God, and whoever has entered His rest has ceased from his works. I don't need to rebuild everything. I need to ABIDE in the Vine and let Him be the source. The BARAK blessing covers my path, and I walk in covenant peace regardless of my fatigue.
The Father isn't waiting for you to optimize your entire life before giving you rest. He's in the boat WITH you, and the storm you think is evidence you're off course is actually the setup for Him to speak peace—and for you to see His power in one moment.
