"My doubt killed the miracle God was going to give me"
How it sounds in your head: I felt something shift, almost had it, then doubt crept in and I lost it. God was moving and my unbelief shut it down. I sabotaged my own breakthrough. If I'd just held on to faith a little longer...
"If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself."
-- 2 Timothy 2:13Teaching that makes YOU the fragile thread holding God's promises together, as if His power depends on your mental consistency.
You've experienced moments of hope followed by disappointment. The religious explanation is that you 'let doubt in' and God withdrew. It makes you hypervigilant about every negative thought.
Peter walked on water, then doubted and started sinking. Did Jesus let him drown as punishment for doubt? NO. Jesus IMMEDIATELY reached out His hand and caught him. The miracle didn't die because of doubt - Jesus RESPONDED to the doubt with rescue.
I REFUSE the lie that my doubt can kill God's promises. IT IS WRITTEN that when we are faithless, He REMAINS faithful - He cannot deny Himself. His Word doesn't return void based on my mental consistency. The BARAK blessing operated through Abraham's repeated lies, protecting him WHILE he sinned. IT IS WRITTEN that nothing can separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus. My wavering doesn't change His nature. Jesus reached for Peter the MOMENT he doubted - He didn't wait for Peter to 'get his faith back.' I am righteous by GIFT, blessed by COVENANT, secured by BLOOD. The prodigal's Father ran while the son still reeked of rebellion.
Your Father doesn't pull back miracles because you had a moment of doubt. Jesus reached for sinking Peter IMMEDIATELY - the doubt didn't disqualify the rescue, it TRIGGERED it. God's faithfulness isn't fragile. It's based on HIS character, not your consistency.
