"My disabilities and limitations are God's way of humbling me or teaching me patience through suffering."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe God allowed this to break your pride. Maybe the wheelchair is His tool to make you depend on Him. Suffering builds character, right? So you endure, believing this pain has divine purpose.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
-- John 10:10Religious lie making God the AUTHOR of suffering instead of the enemy, turning the Father into a cosmic abuser who afflicts His children for character development.
Well-meaning Christians said 'God's teaching you something' so many times you believed it. If God allows it, maybe He caused it, and if He caused it, you must submit and suffer quietly.
Bent over for 18 YEARS, couldn't straighten up. Jesus said SATAN had bound her, not God teaching her patience. He called her a 'daughter of Abraham' and loosed her IMMEDIATELY—no process, no 'wait for the lesson.'
I REFUSE the lie that God authored my disability. IT IS WRITTEN that the thief comes to steal, kill, destroy, but JESUS came to give ABUNDANT LIFE. Jesus identified the woman bent double as bound by SATAN, not shaped by God's pedagogy. IT IS WRITTEN that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of lights—sickness is not good, not perfect, not from Him. I am a daughter/son of Abraham, the BARAK is mine, and Jesus took the CURSE so I could have the BLESSING. God is not teaching me through suffering; He's SUSTAINING me in a fallen world and promising resurrection glory. My disability is not His tool—it's the enemy's weapon, and I stand AGAINST it in Jesus' name.
The Father is not afflicting you to teach you patience. He's the One who RUNS to you, who heals, who restores—and if healing hasn't manifested yet, He's not withholding it as a lesson; He's warring WITH you for breakthrough.
