"My dad's bad money choices ruined our family and I can't forgive him."
How it sounds in your head: Dad lost his job and Mom cries about money. He spent money we didn't have. Now I don't get the stuff other kids have. I feel angry but I'm supposed to respect him. I hate feeling this way about my own dad.
"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive."
-- Genesis 50:20Enemy using financial hardship to plant generational bitterness and destroy father-son covenant.
You literally see the consequences—different house, different school, Mom stressed. The evidence that his choices hurt you is everywhere you look. Other dads seem to have it together and yours doesn't.
His grandfather King Saul made terrible decisions that got the whole family killed and lost the kingdom. Mephibosheth was dropped as a baby and crippled because of his family's chaos. David found him and INSTANTLY restored everything—gave him land, wealth, and a permanent place at the king's table like a son.
I REFUSE the lie that my dad's money mistakes destroyed my future. IT IS WRITTEN that what the enemy meant for evil, God turns for good. My identity isn't 'broke kid'—I am Abraham's seed, heir according to the PROMISE. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, the head and not the tail. The BARAK blessing on my life cannot be canceled by anyone's mistakes—not even my dad's. God is running toward my family with restoration, not waiting for us to figure it out. I receive INSTANT breakthrough because Jesus already paid for this.
Your Father in heaven sees you feeling ashamed about money and He's RUNNING toward you with the ring of authority and the robe of provision. He's not angry at your dad—He's moving heaven and earth to turn this story into testimony, just like He did for Joseph whose brothers SOLD HIM and he ended up second in command of Egypt.
