"My chronic condition is God's way of preparing me for heaven."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe this cancer is His merciful way of transitioning me. Maybe fighting it is fighting His will. Perhaps I should just accept this as my exit plan and cooperate with it.
"The last enemy that will be destroyed is death."
-- 1 Corinthians 15:26Religious teaching that makes God the author of disease, confusing His sovereign allowance with His active will.
Well-meaning Christians told her 'God is calling you home.' Her pastor said 'Sometimes sickness is God's chariot to glory.' It sounds spiritual and surrendered.
Lazarus was dead four days, body decomposing, 'already stinks.' Jesus wept in fury at death's work, then shouted 'Lazarus, come forth!' and the dead man walked out instantly—proving death is God's ENEMY, not His messenger.
I REFUSE the lie that my disease is God's taxi to heaven. IT IS WRITTEN that death is the LAST ENEMY, and Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, which includes sickness. My Father is not authoring this diagnosis; He's offering resurrection power against it. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus went about doing good and healing ALL who were oppressed by the devil. Sickness is oppression, not invitation. When God wants me in heaven, He doesn't need cancer to get me there—He'll simply call and I'll answer. Until then, I am blessed coming in and going out, blessed in my body, and the BARAK blessing that is mine in Christ includes HEALTH. I am the healed, the whole, the vibrant—not because I'm young but because I'm His.
Your Father is not using cancer as a chariot—He used a CROSS to defeat death and disease. He's whispering 'Not yet, daughter, I still have assignments for you,' and He's releasing the same power that raised Lazarus.
