"My body's best years are behind me; it's all downhill from here."
How it sounds in your head: I'm 35 and already feel slower, weaker. The guys at the gym are younger and stronger. My body's peak is gone. From here it's just managing decline until I'm old.
"But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:31World system: youth worship culture making aging synonymous with death and irrelevance.
He sees professional athletes retire at 35, feels recovery takes longer after workouts, notices his metabolism changing. Culture screams that youth equals vitality and aging equals diminishing.
Caleb at 85 years old declared, 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me; as my strength was then, so now is my strength.' He immediately took the mountain and drove out giants.
I REFUSE the lie that my body's best years are gone. IT IS WRITTEN that those who wait on the Lord RENEW their strength. I am a branch attached to the Vine, and the life of God flows through me NOW. The BARAK blessing of Abraham is mine through Christ—the same covenant that renewed Abraham's body at 100 renews mine today. IT IS WRITTEN: my youth is renewed like the eagle's. I am not managing decline; I am receiving DAILY RENEWAL by grace. My strength source is Christ IN me, not my birth certificate.
The Father is running toward you with the same resurrection power that raised Jesus, ready to RENEW your strength this moment. He doesn't see a declining body—He sees His son, and He's already prepared the fattened calf of VITALITY for you.
