"My body is running out—God's promise can't outlast my death."
How it sounds in your head: I'm 90-something. My body is shutting down. Even if God wanted to fulfill this, there's no time left. Death will come before the promise does. God's promise can't beat biology. I'll die with this unfulfilled.
"As it is written, 'I have made you a father of many nations' in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did."
-- Romans 4:17Enemy + World—the lie that physical death ends God's ability to fulfill promises and that biology trumps divine power.
The body is visibly failing and every doctor's report confirms time is short. Natural law says death ends everything, and the promise feels bound by lifespan.
Lazarus was DEAD for 4 DAYS, decomposing in the tomb—'he stinketh' (John 11:39). Jesus spoke ONE WORD and Lazarus walked out alive, proving that death itself doesn't stop God's power. Even decomposition bows to His voice.
I REFUSE the lie that my dying body limits God's promises. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives life to the DEAD and calls things that don't exist into existence. Abraham's dead body at 100 didn't stop Isaac. Lazarus' 4-day-old corpse didn't stop resurrection. My failing body is not the end—it's the setup for God's life-giving power. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed with the BARAK of Abraham, and death itself cannot revoke covenant blessing. God's promises outlast my body. I will see His goodness even in the valley of the shadow.
The Father isn't concerned about your failing body—He specializes in bringing life to dead things. Like He did for Abraham's dead body and Sarah's dead womb, He delights in showing His power through biological impossibility. Your body's weakness is His opportunity for glory.
