"My body has failed me. How could anyone love something so broken and unreliable?"
How it sounds in your head: Menopause, weight gain, health scares, hormones—your body betrayed you. It doesn't work like it used to. It's failing, aging, breaking down. How could anyone desire what's falling apart?
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day."
-- 2 Corinthians 4:16Cultural lie that body perfection equals lovability, combined with medical dismissal of women's health.
Your body IS changing in ways you can't control. The evidence is physical and undeniable. Society equates youth and health with beauty, and yours feels like it's slipping away.
She had a body that bled for 12 YEARS—ceremonially unclean, medically hopeless, spent everything on doctors. She touched Jesus' hem and was IMMEDIATELY healed. He called her 'Daughter' and said her faith made her well. Her broken body qualified her for His touch.
I REFUSE the lie that my broken body disqualifies me from love. IT IS WRITTEN that my inward self is being RENEWED daily—I am becoming MORE beautiful, not less. My body is temporary; my spirit is eternal and beloved. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 139:14 that I am fearfully and wonderfully made—even NOW, even in this body. The BARAK blessing covers my HEALTH—I am blessed, healed, made whole. I receive His love for ALL of me NOW.
Your Father doesn't love you less because your body is changing. He loves the REAL you—the eternal, radiant, glorious you that gets more beautiful every single day. The woman with the issue of blood was healed, but she was already 'Daughter' before the healing. You are loved in the body you have TODAY.
