"My analytical mind and need for logic make me less spiritual than emotional, spontaneous people."
How it sounds in your head: I watch women at church cry during worship, prophesy spontaneously, feel God's presence so tangibly. I analyze, question, need things to make sense. I've wondered if my brain wiring makes me spiritually stunted—like I'm missing the 'feel God' gene everyone else has.
"Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
-- Isaiah 1:18Charismatic culture elevates feelings over thinking, making analytical temperament seem carnal or faithless.
She's been told 'stop overthinking' and 'just receive' so many times it feels like her brain is the problem. Every prophetic conference where she feels nothing while others weep confirms the lie.
Luke was a doctor—analytical, methodical, fact-driven. He didn't write emotionally; he investigated everything carefully, interviewed eyewitnesses, and gave us the most detailed Gospel. God didn't bypass his analytical mind; He USED it to write Scripture.
I REFUSE the lie that logic blocks the Spirit. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Come, let us reason together'—God invites my analytical mind into His presence. My need to understand isn't faithlessness; it's how God designed me to steward truth. The enemy tried to shame me for questions, but IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed in the city and field—whether I feel goosebumps or not. The BARAK blessing doesn't require emotionalism. My mind is not the enemy of my spirit—it's the PLATFORM for Kingdom strategy. I am not less spiritual. I am a thinker anointed to build with wisdom.
The Father designed your brain like a sanctuary where He loves to dwell. He's not waiting for you to feel more; He's celebrating every question you bring Him, every theological rabbit trail, every 'but how does that work?' moment where you dig deeper into His nature.
