"Mental illness runs in my family as a curse and I'm dying without stopping it."
How it sounds in your head: My mother had breakdowns. My sister took her life. My granddaughter cuts herself. I'm dying watching another generation suffer the same torment. Maybe there's a spirit of insanity we never had deliverance from.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:17Source: Charismatic teaching that mental illness is demonic generational curse requiring deliverance ministry to break spiritual legal rights.
Three generations of similar mental health struggles feels too patterned to be coincidence—like a spiritual entity transferring through bloodline. Deathbed urgency to protect granddaughter from family history.
Mephibosheth was grandson of King Saul—a man tormented by evil spirits, died by suicide, whose entire family was hunted and killed. Mephibosheth was crippled, hiding in fear, expecting death. David restored him instantly to royalty, gave him permanent place at the king's table—grandfather's torment and suicide had ZERO claim on his destiny.
I REFUSE the lie that mental illness is a generational demon I'm dying without breaking. IT IS WRITTEN that anyone in Christ is a NEW CREATION where old things have PASSED AWAY. My granddaughter is not defined by my mother's breakdown or my sister's suicide. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. She stands in NEW CREATION reality, not family history. The BARAK blessing covers her mind, emotions, and future by covenant promise, not by my completed deliverance checklist. I'm leaving her to a Father who runs toward the broken.
Your Father doesn't require you to complete deliverance protocols before He protects your granddaughter's mind—He already sent Jesus to bear every curse, every tormenting spirit, every family pattern. She's His beloved daughter, and He's fighting for her peace while you rest.
