"Maybe adoption is God redirecting us because biological kids aren't His plan anymore."
How it sounds in your head: People keep suggesting adoption. Maybe that's the sign we should stop fighting for biological. Maybe God is closing one door to open another. Maybe we're being stubborn by not 'hearing His redirection.'
"Sing, O barren, you who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman, says the LORD."
-- Isaiah 54:1Religion teaching to spiritualize defeat as 'God's better plan'—calls giving up 'obedience' and surrender to enemy theft 'trust.'
Adoption is good and people praise it as 'God's will.' Exhaustion makes any alternative feel like relief and spiritual wisdom.
Barren for years while sister had many children. Rachel said 'God has taken away my reproach.' God REMEMBERED Rachel—she conceived Joseph and later Benjamin. Biological sons came after years of barrenness.
I REFUSE the lie that I must settle for alternatives to covenant promise. IT IS WRITTEN that the barren woman will SING because fruitfulness is coming—not redirection but BREAKTHROUGH. IT IS WRITTEN that God removes reproach from the barren by OPENING WOMBS. The BARAK blessing includes biological fruitfulness—Abraham's seed multiplies through NATURAL BIRTH. I can pursue adoption AND biological children—but I will NOT call enemy theft 'God's better plan.' Rachel got her biological sons. So will we.
The Father isn't redirecting you away from biological children—He's the One who designed your DNA to reproduce and promised fruitfulness as covenant reality. He's running toward you with BOTH the children you birth and the children you adopt, not asking you to choose between His promises and settle for less.
