THE LIE Ministry Burnout

How it sounds in your head: I gave my life to ministry. Raised my family in it. Buried my friends who served alongside me. Now at 85, I can barely make it through a phone call without exhaustion. I have nothing left to give anyone, not even God.

IT IS WRITTEN Isaiah 40:29

Enemy whispers: You're empty, used up, nothing left. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Isaiah 40:29 - 'He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.' You're not the SOURCE, daughter—you're the BRANCH. The Vine doesn't ask what you have left. He supplies from HIS fullness. Your weakness is the perfect place for His strength to flow THROUGH you without you striving.

WHERE THIS LIE COMES FROM

Religion taught that your value equals your output, making you a human doing instead of a human being.

Why this feels true:

Your body is tired, your friends are gone, and ministry demands never stopped until your body forced them to. The measurable productivity that once validated you is physically impossible now.

THE BIBLICAL PRECEDENT Deuteronomy 34:7

Moses

At 120 years old, after 40 years leading millions through wilderness, Moses' eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished. God sustained his strength supernaturally to the very end, and even buried him personally.

YOUR CONFESSION Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that I'm empty or used up. IT IS WRITTEN that He gives power to the weak and increases strength to those with no might. I am not a well that runs dry—I am a BRANCH connected to an inexhaustible VINE. IT IS WRITTEN in John 15:5 that apart from Him I can do nothing, but IN Him fruit comes automatically. My Father doesn't measure my worth by my output. The BARAK blessing of Abraham rests on me by COVENANT, not by my energy level. I am filled with His fullness right now, at 85, in this tired body.
