"I've given so much to ministry that God owes me breakthrough, but He's withholding it."
How it sounds in your head: You've sacrificed everything - time, money, relationships, health. You've poured out while others prospered. Now you're burned out and broke and God feels distant. The prosperity guys on Instagram have less calling and more blessing. It feels like punishment for obedience.
"Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt."
-- Romans 4:4Source: Religious idea that sacrifice earns blessing, creating debt-based relationship with God instead of grace.
You literally have sacrificed - late nights, low pay, missed family time. Other leaders seem blessed while you're struggling. If service doesn't earn blessing, why did you give so much?
The older brother served faithfully for years and felt entitled to reward while the prodigal got a party. The father's response: 'Son, you are ALWAYS with me, and ALL that I have is yours' - the blessing was ALWAYS available, he just never received it as a son, only as a servant.
I REFUSE the lie that my sacrifice puts God in debt to me. IT IS WRITTEN that wages are debt but grace is FREE. I am not a servant earning pay - I am a SON receiving inheritance. The Father's response to the older brother is His response to me: 'ALL that I have is YOURS' - present tense, already available. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:13-14 that Christ redeemed me from the curse so the BLESSING OF ABRAHAM would come on me. The BARAK blessing is mine by COVENANT not by service. I declare INSTANT breakthrough is available NOW because I'm a son, not a hireling waiting for wages.
The Father isn't withholding blessing as payment for service - He's grief-stricken that you've been serving as a slave instead of receiving as a son. Everything He has was ALWAYS yours; He's been waiting for you to stop earning and start receiving.
