"I've burned too many bridges and hurt too many people to recover my ministry."
How it sounds in your head: You know the wreckage. The people you snapped at. The decisions you regret. The relationships you damaged in your burnout. They won't forget. Your reputation is shot. Starting over feels impossible. The ministry graveyard is full of guys like you.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Source: Enemy's accusation mixed with religious belief that past mistakes permanently disqualify you from future usefulness.
You literally did hurt people. The bridges are literally burned. People have left. The wreckage is real. Restoration seems impossible when the damage is documented.
Peter denied Jesus THREE TIMES publicly, cursed, swore he didn't know Him. Jesus' restoration: asked him three times 'Do you love me?' then said 'FEED MY SHEEP' - instant reinstatement to leadership despite public betrayal.
I REFUSE the lie that my past mistakes permanently disqualify my future. IT IS WRITTEN that God RESTORES the years the locust has eaten - not just repairs, but RESTORES. Peter denied Jesus three times and was leading the church weeks later. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus. I declare INSTANT restoration is available RIGHT NOW. The same grace that put a ring on the prodigal's finger while he still smelled like pigs puts authority back in my hands. I am under the BARAK blessing that protected MURDERERS and LIARS because it's COVENANT not character.
The Father isn't reviewing your failures and calculating recovery time - He's running toward you with the robe of righteousness, ready to restore INSTANTLY what took years to destroy. Like Peter getting 'feed my sheep' after denial, your worst moment doesn't delay His restoration by a single day.
