"I've been believing for healing so long that I must be doing something wrong to block it."
How it sounds in your head: Other people get healed quickly. You've been praying, declaring, believing for years and still sick. There must be hidden sin, unforgiveness, lack of faith—something YOU'RE doing wrong that's blocking God's healing power.
"Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, 'If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.' Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction."
-- Mark 5:25-29Religious teaching that makes healing contingent on perfect spiritual performance, turning sickness into evidence of personal failure instead of enemy attack.
She's read all the healing books, been to the healing services, had people pray, done the faith declarations—and she's still sick. The only logical conclusion seems to be that SHE is the problem, blocking it somehow.
The invalid at Bethesda had been sick for 38 YEARS—no mention of his faith level, no altar call, no repentance process. Jesus simply asked 'Do you want to be made well?' and when the man said yes, Jesus said 'Rise, take up your bed and walk'—and IMMEDIATELY he was made well after nearly four decades of sickness.
I REFUSE the lie that my healing is blocked by MY performance. IT IS WRITTEN that the woman with the issue of blood was sick for 12 YEARS and was IMMEDIATELY healed the moment she touched Jesus—no delay to fix herself first. There is NO CONDEMNATION in Christ Jesus. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I WAS HEALED (Isaiah 53:5)—past tense, finished work, already purchased. The man at Bethesda was sick 38 YEARS and healed INSTANTLY with one word from Jesus. I am Abraham's seed and the BARAK BLESSING means the Lord takes sickness from the midst of me (Exodus 23:25). My healing isn't about MY perfection—it's about HIS finished work. I receive it NOW.
Your Father isn't withholding healing while you figure out what you're doing wrong—He's the same Jesus who healed EVERYONE who came to Him, never once saying 'not yet, you need to work on yourself first.' Healing is not a reward for perfect faith—it's a gift from a loving Father to His beloved daughter.
