"I'm too young to hear from God or be used by Him—adults don't take me seriously."
How it sounds in your head: You're just a kid. Your ideas don't matter. Wait until you're older to have a real relationship with God. The adults make all the decisions—you just need to sit down and listen.
"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
-- 1 Timothy 4:12Source: Religious hierarchy that values age over anointing, dismissing the Holy Spirit's ability to speak through any yielded vessel.
Every time she shares something she feels God showed her, adults smile condescendingly or change the subject. Youth group feels like spiritual babysitting, not actual ministry.
Josiah became king at 8 years old and by age 16 'began to seek the God of his father David.' At 20, he led the greatest spiritual reformation in Judah's history, tearing down idols and restoring worship. God didn't wait for him to turn 30—He used him as a teenager to transform a nation.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too young to hear God's voice or be used by Him. IT IS WRITTEN that God does not despise my youth but has anointed me as an example to believers RIGHT NOW. I am Abraham's seed, heir according to promise, and the BARAK blessing of clarity and divine wisdom flows through me regardless of my age. IT IS WRITTEN that out of the mouth of babes God has ordained strength. I hear God clearly, speak His truth boldly, and the Father delights in using me TODAY, not someday. My youth is my advantage—I have fresh faith and unfiltered access to Heaven.
The Father isn't waiting for you to grow up—He's running toward you RIGHT NOW with assignments, dreams, and words that will change lives. He sees you as a trusted friend, not a child waiting in line, and He's whispering secrets to you today that religious adults have been too busy to hear.
