"I'm too tired to fight anymore—I just want peace, even if it means alone."
How it sounds in your head: The thought of one more hard conversation exhausts you. Divorce sounds like REST. You fantasize about a quiet apartment, no tension, no eggshells. Alone sounds like relief.
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
-- Matthew 11:28-30Enemy—presenting isolation as peace, division as rest, when covenant IS your breakthrough.
Your body is literally TIRED—menopause, aging, decades of emotional labor. The marriage feels like one more thing demanding from you when you have nothing left to give.
So exhausted he wanted to DIE, asked God to take his life. God didn't rebuke him—He gave him FOOD, let him SLEEP, touched him gently, then gave him assignment that would define his legacy.
I REFUSE the lie that isolation brings rest. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus GIVES rest to the weary. I don't earn rest through escape—I RECEIVE it as GIFT. IT IS WRITTEN that He renews strength. My righteousness isn't based on energy level—it's GIFT through Christ. The BARAK blessing includes REST. God is touching me like He touched ELIJAH—gentle, providing, strengthening. I receive supernatural REST in the middle of covenant, not outside it.
Your Father sees your exhaustion and isn't demanding MORE from you—He's offering the kind of rest that comes from HIS yoke, not yours. He's inviting you to stop carrying what He never asked you to carry.
