"I'm too old to see great-grandchildren or the next generation blessed."
How it sounds in your head: I'm 90+. My children are grown, my grandchildren are adults. Will I even live to see great-grandchildren? Will I see the blessing continue? Or does my line end in uncertainty, with me not knowing if the legacy holds?
"Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments."
-- Deuteronomy 7:9Enemy lie that age limits your ability to witness or declare blessing over future generations, stealing the promise that your seed is blessed 'to a thousand generations.'
The calendar doesn't lie. I'm at the end. My body is failing. The odds of living another 5-10 years to see great-grandchildren are slim. It feels like I'm running out of time to see the blessing fulfilled.
Jacob, old and blind, blessed Joseph's sons Ephraim and Manasseh, prophesying over generations he would never see. His blessing became the blessing of Israel—'May they grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth'—fulfilled for centuries.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too old to see or declare blessing over the next generation. IT IS WRITTEN that God keeps covenant for a thousand generations. My blessing doesn't end with my last breath. IT IS WRITTEN in Genesis 48 that Jacob, old and blind, blessed generations he would never see, and that blessing stands today. I DECLARE the BARAK blessing over my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and generations I will never meet. They are blessed in the city and in the field, blessed coming in and going out. They are the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. My seed is BLESSED to a thousand generations.
The Father doesn't limit your blessing to what you can see before you die. He's already blessing your great-great-great-grandchildren because YOU are in covenant. The blessing outlives you, outpaces you, and never stops.
