"I'm too old to play with toys but too young to do anything important or interesting."
How it sounds in your head: You're stuck in this boring in-between. Your old toys feel babyish but you're not old enough for the cool stuff yet. Life is just... waiting. Waiting to grow up, waiting to matter, waiting for your real life to start. Right now you're just killing time.
"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."
-- Ecclesiastes 3:1Enemy strategy to make her despise the present season and believe significance only comes later, stealing the NOW that God has given.
Her childhood interests genuinely feel outgrown but adult privileges aren't available yet. She's literally between developmental stages, and culture tells her this makes her irrelevant until she 'grows up' enough to matter.
David was anointed king at approximately 15 years old but didn't take the throne until 30—fifteen years of 'in-between.' But during that waiting, he killed Goliath, led armies, wrote psalms, and became the man after God's heart. The in-between wasn't wasted; it was PURPOSE-FILLED.
I REFUSE the lie that this season is pointless waiting for real life to begin. IT IS WRITTEN that to everything there is a season and a time for EVERY purpose—this moment has PURPOSE. My life isn't starting someday; it's happening NOW. IT IS WRITTEN that Father knows the plans He has for me—plans for good, for hope, for a future that starts THIS MOMENT. I am not stuck in boring in-between—I am in a God-ordained season with kingdom assignments RIGHT NOW. The blessing of Abraham is on me today—blessed coming in and going out, the head and not the tail. I am not waiting to matter; I MATTER NOW.
Your Father isn't making you wait for significance—He's celebrating your significance RIGHT NOW. He's running toward you saying 'THIS moment matters, THIS season is important, YOU are walking in purpose today,' not when you're older but in this very hour you're living.
