"I'm facing death soon; I don't have time to work through forgiving myself."
How it sounds in your head: With hospice and the end near, this is too big to unpack now. Self-forgiveness is a process, a journey, and I'm out of road. I'll just have to meet God carrying this guilt.
"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
-- Romans 10:9Source: Therapeutic culture's lie that forgiveness is a long process, contradicting the instant grace of the Gospel.
You've been told healing takes time, that you need therapy sessions and stages of grief and processing. With death imminent, you think there's not enough time left to 'do the work,' so you resign yourself to carrying guilt into eternity—not knowing forgiveness is instantaneous.
Hours from death, no time for a process, no therapy, no stages of healing—just 'Lord, remember me.' Jesus responded, 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.' Complete forgiveness and salvation in less than 60 seconds. That's how grace works.
I REFUSE the lie that forgiveness requires time I don't have. IT IS WRITTEN that if I confess and believe, I am saved—not after a process, but NOW. The thief on the cross received Paradise in his final breath; I am no different. I am Abraham's seed, blessed by the BARAK covenant that operates in an instant, not over years. IT IS WRITTEN that salvation is a GIFT, not a journey, and I receive it right now in this moment. I declare that I am forgiven, I forgive myself, and I will meet God carrying nothing but the righteousness of Christ. There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus—that includes me, right now, in my final days.
The Father isn't asking you to work through a long process—He's offering you instant, complete forgiveness RIGHT NOW, this second, regardless of how much time you have left. He's not waiting for you to finish a healing journey; He's pulling you into His arms TODAY and declaring you FREE.
