"I'm easily forgotten. People remember me only when they need something."
How it sounds in your head: They call when they want the inheritance details or need someone to watch the house. But my birthday passes with late texts. My stories get interrupted. I'm a utility, not a priority—remembered for function, forgotten as a person.
"Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me."
-- Isaiah 49:15-16Enemy twisting reduced social contact into evidence of worthlessness and conditional love.
Calls come with requests, not just to connect. Old friends are dead, new relationships don't form. Special occasions feel like afterthoughts, celebrations perfunctory.
Crippled, hidden, forgotten in Lo Debar ('place of nothing') for years, expecting nothing. King David SOUGHT him out, restored ALL his grandfather's land INSTANTLY, and gave him permanent place at the king's table—from forgotten to family in one day.
I REFUSE the lie that I am easily forgotten or valued only for utility. IT IS WRITTEN that I am inscribed on God's palms—He cannot move without seeing my name. I am not an afterthought but a continual thought, always before Him. IT IS WRITTEN that He will never leave me nor forsake me. My identity is not in who remembers to call but in whose hands bear my name permanently. I am BARAK-blessed, engraved, treasured. Even if all forget, HE remembers, and His memory is the only one that determines my worth.
While you wait for calls, the Father is showing angels the engraving on His palms saying 'See this name? That's My beloved son—I literally cannot forget him even if I tried.' You are His permanent tattoo.
