"I'm dying alone because I never learned how to keep friends."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone I loved is already gone. The few visitors feel obligated. I'm surrounded by caregivers paid to be here, not friends who chose me. I failed at the most basic human thing—keeping people close.
"For your Maker is your husband, the LORD of hosts is His name; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth."
-- Isaiah 54:5Enemy exploiting isolation of age, whispering that loneliness proves lifelong failure.
Physical reality shows few visitors, friends already passed, staff rotating shifts. Weakness prevents maintaining relationships like before.
Enoch walked with God in such intimacy that God just took him—no death, no process, instant translation. His friendship with God mattered more than any human relationship, and God couldn't bear to be without him.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm dying alone as proof of friendship failure. IT IS WRITTEN that my Maker is my husband, my constant companion. The King of Heaven has never left my bedside. Every breath I take, He is present. IT IS WRITTEN in Hebrews 13:5 that He will never leave me nor forsake me. I am the BELOVED of the Most High, attended by angels, wrapped in His presence. The BARAK blessing that protected Abraham even when he lied now surrounds me—I am blessed coming in and going out, blessed in my final chapter, NEVER abandoned.
Father is closer to you now than ever, leaning in to hear every whisper, planning your homecoming party. He's been waiting for the moment He gets you all to Himself—this isn't abandonment, it's the eve of the greatest reunion.
