"I'm constantly waiting for someone to ask the question I can't answer and expose me."
How it sounds in your head: You've dodged it so far, but eventually someone will probe deeper and you won't have the answer. They'll see the gaps in your knowledge, the foundations you skipped, and realize you don't belong.
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
-- James 1:5Fear and perfectionism demanding omniscience as proof of worthiness.
There are genuine gaps in your knowledge—things you should know but don't. Every conversation feels like a minefield where one wrong question detonates your credibility.
Young king who admitted 'I am but a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.' God didn't rebuke his inadequacy—He gave him wisdom that surpassed all the earth INSTANTLY because Solomon asked with a humble heart.
I REFUSE the lie that I must have all the answers to avoid exposure. IT IS WRITTEN: If I lack wisdom, I ask of God who gives LIBERALLY and WITHOUT REPROACH. Solomon admitted 'I'm a little child who doesn't know'—and God gave him unmatched wisdom. IT IS WRITTEN: Christ became WISDOM from God for me—I don't operate in my knowledge but HIS. I am not defined by what I don't know but by WHOSE I am. The fear of exposure is broken. I walk in humility, asking for wisdom as I need it, and God supplies without shaming me for the gaps.
The Father doesn't expect you to be omniscient—He expects you to be CONNECTED. Like Solomon being given wisdom when he admitted his inadequacy, your honesty about what you don't know opens the door for His supernatural supply, not exposure.
