"I'm being punished for past career mistakes. This is what I deserve."
How it sounds in your head: You should have stayed in that job. You shouldn't have spoken up. You made the wrong choice five years ago and now you're paying for it. This unemployment is direct consequence of your failure. God is teaching you a lesson.
"Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."
-- Isaiah 43:18-19Religious lie: weaponizes past decisions to create false karma, denying the blood's power to cleanse and restore instantly.
You can trace a direct line from that decision to where you are now. If you'd chosen differently, you'd still be employed. The cause-and-effect feels like proof of punishment.
Peter denied Jesus three times, cursing and swearing he didn't know Him. Days later, Jesus restored him FULLY and gave him the keys to launch the church. No punishment season. No proving period. Instant restoration to greater assignment.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm being punished for past mistakes. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus - not 'less,' not 'temporary' - NONE. My past is under the BLOOD. IT IS WRITTEN that He does a NEW thing NOW, making roads in my wilderness. I am not paying for yesterday - I am HEIR of promise TODAY. The blessing of Abraham covers me EVEN WHEN I MISS IT, just like it covered Abraham's lies, Jacob's deception, David's adultery. My Father is doing a new thing NOW, and it springs forth regardless of my resume or my history.
Your Father isn't reviewing your career mistakes. He buried them in the sea of forgetfulness. He's running toward you with NEW THING anointing, springs in the desert provision, roads where there were none - and He's not waiting for you to 'deserve' it.
