"I'm always exhausted and drained because I'm weak and my body has given up on me."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone else can stay up late, game for hours, play sports, but I'm always tired. My body is failing me already at 14. Maybe I'm just not strong enough to be a real man.
"But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:31Enemy accusation + cultural lie that manhood equals endless physical strength without need for rest or renewal.
His body is changing rapidly, growth spurts drain energy, and he compares himself to peers who seem to have boundless energy. Sleep patterns are shifting but no one explained this is normal, so he thinks something is wrong with him.
Elijah was so exhausted after battling prophets of Baal that he wanted to die and collapsed under a tree. An angel touched him ONCE, gave him supernatural food, and he walked 40 days in the strength of that ONE meal—no exhaustion.
I REFUSE the lie that my body has quit on me or that exhaustion is my identity. IT IS WRITTEN that those who wait on the Lord SHALL RENEW their strength—not might, not maybe, but SHALL. I am a branch connected to the limitless energy of the Creator who spoke galaxies into existence. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 40:29 that He GIVES POWER to the weak and INCREASES strength to those who have no might. The BARAK blessing over Abraham's descendants means I am blessed coming in and going out, in my sleep and in my waking. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and He is renewing my youth like the eagle's. I mount up with wings, I run without weariness, I walk without fainting.
The Father isn't waiting for you to push harder or prove you're strong enough—He's running toward you with supernatural strength that has nothing to do with your current energy level. Like the prodigal who couldn't even finish his speech before the Father restored everything, you don't have to earn vitality; it's already yours in Christ, flowing from the Vine the moment you rest in connection.
