Too Late
"I'm already behind all the other girls—they started developing before me and I'll never catch up."

How it sounds in your head: Your body is changing slower than everyone else. The other girls already look like teenagers and you still look like a kid. You're going to be the last one, the flat one, the baby-faced one. You missed the window to be pretty like them.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

"He has made everything beautiful in its time."

-- Ecclesiastes 3:11
Enemy whispers: You're behind and you'll never catch up to the beautiful girls. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Ecclesiastes 3:11—'He has made EVERYTHING beautiful in its TIME.' Not their time. YOUR time. God doesn't have assembly-line timing where everyone develops identically. He has PERFECT timing for YOU specifically. The Father isn't comparing you to other girls—He's watching YOU unfold at exactly the pace He designed, and He calls it beautiful RIGHT NOW.
Quick Truth: LIE: I'm behind. TRUTH: God's timing for YOUR body is perfect—you're beautiful NOW (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

World—comparison culture that says your value is in developing at the 'right' time and looking a certain way on a certain timeline.

Why this feels true:

At 10-12, every girl develops differently and it feels like a race because puberty is visible and public. When you're the 'late' one, it feels like being left behind in something you can't control, and society screams that physical development equals worth.

Genesis 21:1-2
Sarah

Sarah was 90 years old—NINETY—decades past when her body should have been able to have children, and everyone knew it was 'too late.' God INSTANTLY opened her womb and she had Isaac, and Genesis 21:1 says 'the Lord did for Sarah as He had SPOKEN'—His promise wasn't limited by her body's timeline.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that I'm behind because my body isn't developing like other girls. IT IS WRITTEN that God makes everything beautiful in ITS time—not their time, MY time. I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and my timeline is PERFECT because God designed it. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 139:16 that all my days were written in His book before one of them came to be. I am not racing other girls. I am unfolding exactly on schedule according to Heaven's plan, and I am beautiful RIGHT NOW, not when I finally 'catch up.'

But God actually:

The Father isn't waiting for your body to look a certain way before He calls you beautiful—He's looking at you TODAY, at your exact stage, and calling you His beautiful daughter. While you're comparing yourself to other girls, He's marveling at the unique way He designed you, and He's never wished you were on someone else's timeline.
