"I'm a mistake—my parents didn't plan me, didn't want me, regret having me."
How it sounds in your head: You heard them say 'we weren't ready' or 'you were a surprise.' They fight about money because of you. You see the exhaustion. They had dreams before you came along.
"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them."
-- Psalm 139:16Enemy—twists 'unplanned by parents' into 'unwanted by God'; trauma—overhearing adult conversations not meant for you.
Mom looks stressed when you ask for things. Dad mentions 'before kids' with nostalgia. They compare life now to life before. You do the math—their ages, your age.
Jephthah was the son of a prostitute, called 'son of another woman,' rejected by his family, driven out. God made him the JUDGE and DELIVERER of Israel—one chapter from rejected to RULER.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm a mistake or that I wasn't wanted. IT IS WRITTEN that in God's book, my days were fashioned when NONE of them yet existed. Even if I was unplanned by my parents, I was PLANNED by the Father. IT IS WRITTEN that before I was formed, He KNEW me. I am not a surprise, not an accident, not a regret—I am a PURPOSE. I walk in the BARAK blessing—chosen before the foundation of the world, wanted by HEAVEN, celebrated by the Father who RAN to create me.
The Father didn't consult your parents' plans before He wrote YOURS. While they may have been surprised, HE was INTENTIONAL—you're wanted, planned, and celebrated by Heaven.
