"I'll never sleep well again, my brain won't shut off at night"
How it sounds in your head: It's 2 AM and you're still scrolling. You've got a test tomorrow but your mind is racing about her, about college applications, about everything. Sleep feels impossible. Your brain is broken.
"It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so He gives His beloved sleep."
-- Psalm 127:2Enemy assignment to steal rest that's already yours in Christ
Every night this week you've been awake past 2 AM, mind spinning with future fears and relationship replays. The exhaustion feels permanent, like your brain chemistry is just wired for insomnia.
Elijah was suicidal, depressed, running from Jezebel in complete panic and burnout. God's solution? An angel woke him to EAT and then let him SLEEP MORE—twice—then he traveled 40 days on that rest.
I REFUSE the lie that my mind controls my rest. IT IS WRITTEN that He GIVES His beloved sleep, and I am His beloved son. I don't have to earn rest, manage my thoughts perfectly, or wait until life calms down. The BARAK blessing over me includes REST that the world cannot give and circumstances cannot steal. IT IS WRITTEN that I lie down in peace and sleep, for He ALONE makes me dwell in safety. I receive supernatural sleep NOW, not after I fix myself. My Father runs toward me with rest, not condemnation about my racing thoughts.
Your Father sees you exhausted at 2 AM and doesn't say 'try harder to relax.' He's running toward you with the GIFT of sleep, the same way He put Adam into deep sleep to do something miraculous. He does His best work while you rest.
