"I'll never find work again. I'm unemployable at this stage of life."
How it sounds in your head: The gap on your resume is growing. Each month makes you less marketable. You're past the point where anyone will take a chance on you. This is permanent. You're going to be that woman who never recovered from job loss.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
-- Jeremiah 29:11Enemy: stealing hope through statistics and fear, declaring 'never' over someone covered by ALWAYS promises.
The longer you're unemployed, the harder it gets. You're watching savings deplete. Friends are running out of encouragement. The gap itself is becoming the disqualifier in a vicious cycle.
Job lost EVERYTHING - wealth, health, family, reputation. Everyone declared him finished. God restored DOUBLE in a moment, and his latter days were more blessed than his beginning. The gap became the testimony.
I REFUSE the lie that I'll never work again. IT IS WRITTEN that God's thoughts toward me are of FUTURE and HOPE, not unemployment and shame. This gap is not my identity - Christ is. IT IS WRITTEN that He restores the years the enemy has stolen, that my latter days will be greater than my former. I am not unemployable - I am BLESSED coming in and going out, the head and not the tail. The BARAK doesn't have expiration dates or resume gaps. My breakthrough is not distant - it's the Father running toward me with the ring of authority and the robe of identity.
Your Father isn't looking at your employment gap. He's looking at covenant. He's already prepared your suddenly, your 'Job 42 moment' where everything doubles, and He's bringing it while you're still afraid it's too late.
