"I'll never be lean like those guys; my genetics are garbage"
How it sounds in your head: Some guys eat whatever and stay shredded. I gain weight looking at food. My body is defective and I'm stuck with inferior genetics forever.
"For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."
-- Psalm 139:13-14Enemy using comparison and biological determinism to create hopelessness and self-hatred.
The evidence seems scientific - you watch friends eat pizza and stay lean while you gain weight. It feels like biological proof you're disadvantaged.
Mephibosheth was crippled in both feet, hiding in a forgotten land, convinced his body disqualified him from royalty. King David SOUGHT HIM OUT, restored ALL of Saul's land to him, and gave him a permanent seat at the king's table - not despite his condition, but while still crippled.
I REFUSE the lie that my genetics are inferior or defective. IT IS WRITTEN that my Father formed my inward parts and covered me in my mother's womb - I am fearfully and wonderfully made. My metabolism, my frame, my DNA were CHOSEN by the Creator of the universe. I am His workmanship, His poema, His masterpiece. Every comparison to another body is a rejection of my Father's deliberate design. IT IS WRITTEN that we are complete in Christ. I receive the BARAK blessing over my health, my body, my metabolism - blessed coming in and going out, above only and not beneath.
Your Father isn't comparing your body to anyone else's. He custom-designed you, knowing exactly what He was creating, and He calls it very good - not after you transform it, but right now.
