"If we had enough faith, we'd already be pregnant"
How it sounds in your head: You've prayed, believed, declared, yet nothing changes. Maybe your faith isn't strong enough. Other people get healed, other couples conceive—what's wrong with YOUR faith? The doubt itself feels like proof of the problem.
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"
-- Mark 9:24Religious performance theology making breakthrough contingent on faith quality rather than God's grace.
Teaching about faith moving mountains makes infertility feel like evidence of insufficient belief. Doubt becomes self-fulfilling prophecy—if you're questioning, maybe THAT'S why it's not working.
Father brought his son to Jesus with doubt-filled, desperate faith saying 'IF you can do anything'—Jesus challenged that, father admitted 'I believe; help my unbelief.' Despite the admitted doubt, Jesus IMMEDIATELY cast out the demon and healed the boy completely.
I REFUSE the lie that my faith quality determines God's movement. IT IS WRITTEN that a father with admitted UNBELIEF still got his son healed—imperfect faith is enough. I reject performance theology that makes breakthrough about MY believing instead of HIS PROMISE. Faith the size of a mustard seed is sufficient because the OBJECT—God—is faithful. IT IS WRITTEN that the just live by FAITH, not by perfect faith. I receive conception as GRACE, not as reward for strong enough belief. My wavering doesn't disqualify me; His WORD qualifies me.
The Father isn't measuring your faith strength—He's responding to His own faithfulness that doesn't waver when yours does. He's the father running to the doubting prodigal, not the critic demanding perfect belief before moving.
