"If it hasn't happened by now, it's not going to happen. God's answer is no."
How it sounds in your head: You've prayed for years, watched friends marry, attended endless weddings. You've tried to 'surrender' it, tried to want it less, tried to be content—but the longing remains. At some point, don't you just accept that this isn't God's plan for you?
"For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
-- Habakkuk 2:3Religious fatalism disguised as contentment—interprets delay as denial and assigns divine intention to the wait.
Decades have passed. She's cycled through hope and disappointment so many times she's exhausted. Church people tell her to 'be content in singleness,' as if grieving the unfulfilled desire is a failure of faith.
A woman who prayed in bitterness of soul for YEARS while watching another wife have children easily—everyone assumed her barrenness was permanent. Then in ONE ENCOUNTER with God at the tabernacle, everything shifted. From weeping and unable to eat to pregnant within the year—decades of closed womb, INSTANT breakthrough.
I REFUSE the lie that delay means denial. IT IS WRITTEN that though the vision tarries, it will SURELY COME—God's promises don't have expiration dates. Abraham waited 25 years; Hannah prayed for years; Lazarus was dead four days before Jesus showed up—and STILL the breakthrough came. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 37:4 that if I delight myself in the Lord, He WILL give me the desires of my heart—not 'might,' not 'maybe,' but WILL. I am under the BARAK blessing where Isaac was born when Abraham was 100—God's timing looks late to human eyes but is PERFECT in His. The same God who gave Hannah a baby after years of closed womb gives me hope after years of waiting. My story is not over; the best chapter is ahead.
Your Father hasn't forgotten, denied, or moved on—He's been PREPARING something so good that the wait will make sense in hindsight. The same God who gave Sarah a baby at 90 after decades of barrenness is ABLE to exceed your timeline.
