"If I'm not tracking every calorie and macro, I'm out of control"
How it sounds in your head: The only way to stay on track is obsessive monitoring. If I don't log everything, chaos will take over and I'll lose all progress.
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."
-- Galatians 5:1Control spirit using fear of chaos to create religious bondage to numbers and tracking.
Every fitness influencer preaches tracking as non-negotiable. The data feels like safety, and not tracking feels like free-falling into disorder.
God rained down manna daily and told them to gather what they needed - some gathered much, some little, but when measured, 'he who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.' They didn't track or obsess; God provided exactly what each person needed.
I REFUSE the lie that I need obsessive tracking to stay in control. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ has made me free and I will not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Calorie apps are tools, not gods, and I will not serve them. The Holy Spirit can guide my eating better than any algorithm. IT IS WRITTEN that if the Son makes me free, I am free indeed. I trust my Father to provide what I need like He provided manna - exactly enough. The BARAK blessing includes provision and abundance without anxiety or control.
Your Father isn't asking you to become a slave to tracking apps. He's inviting you to trust Him the way the Israelites trusted Him for daily manna - He knows what you need before you measure it.
