"If I have abundance, people will judge me, think I'm spoiled, or resent me."
How it sounds in your head: Kids at school make fun of anyone who has nice stuff, calling them spoiled or show-offs. If God blesses me, people might turn against me or think I'm bragging. Maybe it's safer to stay average so I fit in and nobody hates me.
"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. -- Genesis 26:12-16Fear of man and rejection created agreement with poverty to maintain acceptance instead of walking in covenant identity.
He's witnessed or experienced social punishment for standing out. At this age, fitting in feels like survival, and abundance threatens belonging.
Joseph's father favored him with a special coat. His brothers HATED him for it, mocked his dreams, and plotted to kill him. Did Joseph hide his blessing? No—and eventually those same brothers BOWED before him for PROVISION. Your blessing feeds those who initially resent it.
I REFUSE the lie that others' opinions control my blessing! IT IS WRITTEN that Isaac prospered until he became VERY prosperous, and envy didn't stop him. The BARAK blessing on my life makes me UNDENIABLE. I'm not called to shrink for others' comfort—I'm called to SHINE. IT IS WRITTEN that people will see my good works and GLORIFY my Father. Their envy reveals their hunger for the SOURCE I carry. I walk in abundance boldly, knowing my blessing will ultimately FEED those who first resent it!
The Father doesn't reduce your blessing to protect others' feelings. He made Isaac so prosperous the haters had to acknowledge God's favor. Your blessing becomes their PROOF that God is real and good.
