"If I had more faith, I wouldn't be this tired all the time."
How it sounds in your head: You've seen others your age with more energy, more peace, more vitality. They must have stronger faith. Your exhaustion is evidence of spiritual failure. If you really believed, you'd be strong. Your fatigue proves your faith is weak and God can't work through doubt.
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"
-- Mark 9:24Religion making healing dependent on the QUALITY of your faith instead of the FINISHED WORK of Christ.
You compare yourself to others who seem to handle aging better, and the religious formula in your head says 'faith = results' so no results must mean insufficient faith. Every tired moment becomes evidence of spiritual inadequacy.
She had suffered twelve years and spent all her money on physicians who made her worse. Her 'faith' was mixed with superstition - she thought touching His garment would work like magic. Yet Jesus called it 'faith' and she was healed INSTANTLY. Imperfect theology, desperate grab, immediate miracle - because His power isn't limited by our doctrinal precision.
I REFUSE the lie that my healing depends on the strength of my faith. IT IS WRITTEN that a father with doubt mixed in his faith still received an instant miracle for his son. My vitality is not earned by perfect belief but received as a gift from a perfect Savior. Jesus is not waiting for my faith to reach a certain level before releasing His power. IT IS WRITTEN that He is FAITHFUL even when we are faithless, for He cannot deny Himself. By His stripes I WAS healed - past tense, finished work. I receive that reality NOW not because my faith is strong enough but because HIS WORD is true regardless of my confidence level.
The Father isn't withholding energy until your faith reaches some threshold. He's the one who RAN to the prodigal who had NO faith, only desperation. Your doubt doesn't disqualify you; your POSITION in Christ qualifies you. He's not measuring your faith; He's freely giving you His strength because you're His beloved son.
