"If I had more faith, I would already be pregnant—my doubt is blocking the blessing."
How it sounds in your head: I see women posting pregnancy announcements with Bible verses about faith. Maybe my struggle means my faith is weak. Every negative test feels like proof I don't believe enough. I'm failing the faith test.
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"
-- Mark 9:24Religion teaches faith as a work—the right amount of belief 'earns' the miracle, making barrenness evidence of spiritual failure.
You hear testimonies of women who 'just believed' and got pregnant, creating the narrative that faith is the missing ingredient. Your continued infertility seems to prove insufficient faith.
Thomas refused to believe in the resurrection without physical proof—he demanded to touch Jesus' wounds. Jesus didn't reject him or withhold the encounter; He SHOWED UP, offered His hands, and blessed Thomas anyway—doubt didn't disqualify him.
I REFUSE the lie that my doubt blocks God's blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that a father with mixed faith saw his son healed IMMEDIATELY—my wavering doesn't cancel God's promise. Jesus doesn't withhold miracles from doubters; He SHOWS UP and proves Himself faithful. IT IS WRITTEN that faith the size of a mustard seed is ENOUGH, and I have that. My conception is NOT delayed because of weak faith—it's delayed because the enemy is fighting what's already mine. I bring my belief AND my unbelief to Jesus, and I trust that HE is faithful even when I waver. My pregnancy is NOT earned by perfect faith; it's GIVEN by perfect grace. I receive my child NOW.
The Father doesn't need your perfect faith—He needs your honest heart. The prodigal didn't have strong faith when she turned toward home; she had desperation and honesty, and the Father ran to meet her anyway.
