"If I had enough faith, I could command my body to heal and wouldn't need doctors."
How it sounds in your head: I've heard preachers say we have authority to speak to our bodies and command healing. Every doctor visit feels like admitting I couldn't generate enough faith to do it myself. Why can't I just believe hard enough?
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"
-- Mark 9:24Religious teaching that makes YOUR faith the power source instead of HIS grace, turning healing into a performance you must generate.
You've heard enough 'speak to your mountain' sermons to feel like your continued illness is your fault for not commanding it properly. The pressure to perform a miracle through right words or enough belief is crushing.
A father brought his demon-possessed son to Jesus, openly admitting his faith was imperfect and struggling. Jesus healed the boy anyway, not because the father's faith was strong enough, but because of His own compassion and power.
I REFUSE the lie that healing depends on my faith performance. IT IS WRITTEN that even imperfect faith receives from Jesus' compassion. I am not the power source—HE is. My job is to abide in the Vine, and He produces the fruit of healing however He chooses. IT IS WRITTEN that His faithfulness is not nullified by my struggle, doubt, or questions. I receive healing through doctors, medicine, prayer, miracles, or any combination my Father chooses. I am the righteousness of God in Christ—perfectly approved, perfectly positioned to receive, not because I believe hard enough but because I'm His beloved son. The blessing of Abraham is mine by COVENANT, not by faith performance.
Your Father isn't measuring your faith levels to determine whether you qualify for healing. He's running toward you with compassion that responds to even struggling, imperfect faith. He doesn't need you to believe harder—He needs you to receive what He's already providing through every available means.
