"If I give my money away, I'll have nothing for what I need or want"
How it sounds in your head: If I give $2 to church, that's $2 I can't spend on the book I want or save for the toy I'm working toward. Giving means going without - it's choosing God over having things I actually need.
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."

Basic math says if she has $10 and gives $2, she has $8 left. That's less. She can see the subtraction clearly, so giving feels like guaranteed loss of things she wants.
God commanded ravens to feed Elijah by the brook - birds brought him bread and meat EVERY MORNING AND EVENING during famine. INSTANT, consistent, supernatural provision in the middle of national lack, demonstrating God's ability to provide through impossible means when you're in His will.
I REFUSE the lie that giving means going without! IT IS WRITTEN that when I GIVE, it SHALL be given back to me pressed down, shaken together, running over. God's economy is multiplication - the boy gave lunch and watched 5,000 eat with baskets left. There is one who SCATTERS yet increases - hoarding leads to poverty, generosity leads to overflow. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing means what I release comes back MULTIPLIED. IT IS WRITTEN that with the measure I use it's measured back to me - my $2 isn't loss, it's SEED. I'm not going without - I'm planting for harvest that exceeds what I could hoard!
The Father isn't asking you to sacrifice what you need so you go without - He's inviting you to PLANT what you have so He can multiply it back beyond what you gave. Your $2 in His hands becomes open doors, unexpected gifts, favor that $20 couldn't buy. He's not taking FROM you; He's giving TO you through your open hands.
