"If healing were for today, every sick Christian would be healed; the lack proves it's not available."
How it sounds in your head: You look around and see godly Christians suffering with illness, even dying young, and wonder if that proves healing isn't actually available today. If it were truly part of the covenant, wouldn't every believer be healed? The theological inconsistency makes you doubt healing promises are for now.
"Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief."
-- Mark 6:5-6Source: Religion using unanswered prayers as proof rather than examining unbelief, making human experience the authority over Scripture's promises.
You know faithful Christians who died of cancer, children with disabilities, missionaries who got sick—if healing were guaranteed, none of that would happen. It seems more honest to admit healing isn't promised for today than to claim promises that don't seem to manifest universally.
Jesus came to His hometown with full power and willingness to heal, but encountered such unbelief and familiarity ('Isn't this the carpenter?') that He could only heal a few sick people. The limitation wasn't His power or availability—it was their refusal to receive, proving that unbelief blocks what's fully offered.
I REFUSE the lie that lack of universal healing proves it's unavailable today. IT IS WRITTEN: Jesus couldn't do many miracles in Nazareth because of unbelief—the limitation was RECEIVING, not His willingness. I will not build my theology on what hasn't manifested but on what He PROMISED in His Word. IT IS WRITTEN: By His stripes I WAS healed—that's finished, purchased, available. I am a branch attached to healing power; the flow isn't blocked by His reluctance but released by my faith. The BARAK blessing is covenant, not conditional on others' experience—Abraham's household was blessed regardless of surrounding nations. I receive instant healing as my inheritance RIGHT NOW, regardless of who else does or doesn't.
The Father isn't withholding healing because some don't receive it—He's running toward you with the same power He offered Nazareth, grieved when unbelief blocks but never reluctant Himself. He wants you to receive what's fully available, not doubt based on others' experience, because His promises to you are YES and AMEN regardless of anyone else's journey.
