"If God was really going to answer this, He would have done it by now."
How it sounds in your head: It's been months or even years and nothing has changed. Other people get miracles but I just keep waiting. If God really cared about this situation, wouldn't He have fixed it already? Maybe this is just how my life is supposed to be.
"For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
-- Habakkuk 2:3Religion: Performance theology teaches that delay equals denial, making God's character dependent on human timelines rather than His covenant faithfulness.
She's watched calendar pages turn with no visible change, and at her age time moves differently—three months feels like three years. Adults around her may have even said 'maybe it's not God's will' which sounds like giving up.
They waited 25 YEARS for Isaac—a quarter century of impossible waiting. Then Genesis 21:1 says 'the Lord visited Sarah as He had said'—God did EXACTLY what He promised, just not on their timeline.
I REFUSE the lie that God's delay means God's denial. IT IS WRITTEN that His promise will surely come and will not tarry from Heaven's perspective. I am in Christ, which makes me Abraham's seed and heir according to promise—the same God who gave Abraham a son after 25 years is FAITHFUL to me. Delay doesn't mean no; it means the setup is bigger than I imagined. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 4:21 that what God has promised, He is able to perform. I stand as Abraham's daughter under the BARAK covenant blessing, and I declare the promise is coming to fullness NOW.
The Father hasn't forgotten the calendar—He's been preparing something so good that the wait will make sense in one moment. He's not testing your endurance; He's orchestrating details beyond your sight because He's that kind of Father.
