"If God wanted to fix this, He would have by now; His silence means it's over."
How it sounds in your head: You've prayed for years. Gone to counseling. Tried everything. If God was going to move, He would have already. Maybe His answer IS the divorce, and you're stubbornly holding on to something He's released.
"For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
-- Habakkuk 2:3Religious teaching that God's timing equals His will, making delays mean denial rather than strategic positioning.
Years of prayer with no visible improvement feels like a clear answer of 'no,' and at some point continued effort feels like stubbornness rather than faith. The silence is deafening, and interpreting it as release feels like permission to stop the exhausting fight.
God promised Abraham a son at age 75, but Isaac didn't arrive until Abraham was 100—a 25-YEAR GAP during which Abraham lied about Sarah twice, tried to force the promise through Hagar, and questioned God. Yet when the APPOINTED TIME came, the promise manifested EXACTLY as spoken, and delay became part of the greater glory story.
I REFUSE the lie that delay equals denial. IT IS WRITTEN that though the vision tarries, it WILL SURELY COME, and God is not slack concerning His promise. What looks like silence is strategic POSITIONING for greater glory. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 55:11 that God's Word 'shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please.' Every promise He's spoken over my marriage is ACTIVE RIGHT NOW, working beneath the surface. The same God who waited until Lazarus was FOUR DAYS DEAD to maximize the miracle is waiting for the APPOINTED TIME for greater testimony in my marriage. IT IS WRITTEN in Ecclesiastes 3:11 that He makes everything beautiful IN ITS TIME. The BARAK doesn't delay—it's positioning for OVERFLOW. I declare breakthrough is closer than it appears, appointed time is NOW, and what's been tarrying is about to FLOOD.
The Father hasn't forgotten your prayers—He's been STORING THEM like Revelation 5:8 describes, bowls of incense before the throne, and when He tips them over, the answer won't be 'finally' but 'SUDDENLY.' Delay is setup for acceleration you can't yet imagine.
